You can follow the exact steps that worked for another business and still end up with disappointing results. Maybe their audience is different, or the strategy just doesn't fit your situation. It's frustrating when you put in the same effort but don't get the same outcome. How would you figure out what went wrong?

There's a saying that what works for one person might not work for another, and I think that applies to marketing, too. You can learn from someone else's strategy, but copying everything they do won't guarantee the same results. Every business has its own audience and strengths, so it's important to find an approach that actually fits your situation. Sometimes, you have to experiment and figure out what works best for you instead of trying to follow someone else's success exactly.

Why copy someone else's strategy in the first place? You can get ideas from other businesses, but that doesn't mean you have to follow everything they do. Every business has its own strengths and audience, so it's better to figure out what works for you instead of trying to recreate someone else's success. Sometimes, being original and knowing your own customers can take you further than simply copying what's already working for others.

I'm curious about this, too, because sometimes you can follow all the right steps and still get different results. There's probably more going on behind a successful strategy than what we see on the surface. I'd like to know how other business owners decide which ideas are worth trying and which ones aren't a good fit for them.

I haven't really tried copying another business's marketing strategy because I'd be worried that my customers might eventually notice that I'm not being original. There's nothing wrong with getting inspiration from other businesses, but that doesn't mean you have to copy exactly what they do. Besides, what works for one company might not work for mine, especially if we're in completely different industries. I'd rather figure out what fits my own business than spend money testing a strategy that might not even work and end up regretting it later.
