Would you still recommend affiliate marketing to someone starting from zero, or is it now too difficult without an existing audience?

I would still recommend it, but as a long-term content business rather than quick income. A beginner can choose a narrow niche, create useful comparisons or tutorials, and build trust; a small audience with strong intent can outperform a large generic following.
