Are recurring commissions better than one-time payouts?

I know a lot of people prefer monthly recurring commissions, but I’ve seen others go all in on higher one-time payments.

Which model has worked better for you?

High-ticket one-time, hands down. Recurring sounds great on paper, but churn kills your passive income faster than you think.

Interesting. But doesn't high-ticket require way more effort to convert each lead from scratch?

It does, but a single $1,000 payout gives you immediate cash flow to reinvest into ads or content. Recurring gives you $30/month and months of waiting to break even.

Fair point on cash flow. But how do you handle the income roller coaster on months when sales are dry?

You build a buffer with those big payouts! Plus, customer lifetime value on low-ticket recurring SaaS usually caps out around 4–6 months anyway.

Only if it’s essential enterprise software. Most mid-tier tool subscriptions get canceled the second someone audits their credit card statement.
So you're saying recurring is a trap unless the product is an absolute necessity?

Exactly. High-ticket pays you up front for the effort, while recurring relies on the vendor keeping the customer happy long-term—which is totally out of your control.

Damn, that actually changes how I’m looking at my next campaign. Appreciate the reality check!
