Is it better to master one marketing skill first or learn a bit of everything?

Should I focus 100% on getting good at copywriting first, or learn a little bit of ads, web design, and email all at once? What route did you take when you were starting out?

I’d say try everything first and see what you enjoy and what works for you. Once you find one skill you really want to focus on, start mastering it while still exploring the others. You’ll learn a lot along the way just by trying things out.

Having a basic understanding of the other skills can help too, especially since they all connect in some way. You don’t have to master everything at once, but knowing a little about each one makes it easier to see how the whole marketing process fits together.

Learning a bit of everything first can help you see which areas actually interest you. Once you get a better feel for how they work together, it’s easier to decide which skill you want to spend more time on.

I think that’s a smarter approach. It will probably take more time, but at least you get a solid idea of what to expect before deciding which area you want to focus on.
