I’ve seen trends bring a lot of attention to brands, but not every trend actually fits the audience or the product. Sometimes, joining in just feels like forcing content for the sake of staying relevant. How do you decide which trends are worth trying and which ones to skip?

I’d consider a trend worth following as long as it doesn’t promote harm, violence, sexual harassment, or other harmful behavior. Getting attention isn’t worth it if it comes at the expense of other people’s safety or dignity. There should always be a line that brands shouldn’t cross just to gain engagement.

Exactly, knowing your audience matters. A trend can bring attention to a brand, but it’s not worth the backlash if people feel disrespected or offended by it.

A trend is worth following if it aligns with your brand, reaches the right audience, and doesn’t compromise your values just to get attention. It should make sense for what you’re trying to achieve, not just because everyone else is doing it.

I think creating your own trend can be even more rewarding than constantly following what’s already popular. It takes time to understand your audience, come up with something original, and manage the resources needed to make it work. But if the idea catches on, it can attract a much larger audience and give people a reason to associate that trend with your brand. It requires more effort upfront, but the long-term impact can be worth it.
