Your product is selling better than expected, and orders keep coming in. The problem is, your supplier tells you that the next batch won't arrive for a few weeks. Would you stop promoting it, accept preorders, or offer customers other options while they wait? How would you handle the situation without disappointing your customers or losing their trust?

I'd make an announcement letting customers know that the product won't be restocked for now and explain the reasons why. Maybe the supplier discontinued it, the production costs went up, or there's no confirmed date for the next shipment. I'd rather be honest about the situation than keep customers waiting without knowing when the product will be available again. At least they can decide whether to look for an alternative instead of waiting for something that might not come back.

That's a mature way to handle the situation. Being transparent with customers shows that you respect their time and don't want to give them false expectations. It might be disappointing for them at first, but being honest can help maintain their trust in your business in the long run.

I'd first want to clarify what "impossible to restock" actually means. Has the product been discontinued, or is there just a problem with the supplier or production? If there's no chance of getting more stock, continuing to promote it could be misleading. I'd recommend sellers stop running ads for the product, update their listings, and let customers know the situation honestly. If there's still a chance of restocking, they can offer preorders, but only if they can give customers a realistic timeline. It's better to be transparent than risk losing customers' trust by making promises they can't keep.
