Should you have 5 very specific boards or 20 broad ones? How do you name and structure your boards so Pinterest understands your niche?

I’d start with a small set of specific boards built around distinct search intents, then add a board only when you have enough relevant content to keep it active. Use clear keyword-led names such as “Small-Space Kitchen Storage” instead of clever labels, and explain the board’s focus in its description. Six to ten coherent boards are usually easier for visitors and Pinterest to understand than twenty thin, overlapping boards.

I prefer a smaller set of clearly focused boards over many broad ones. Each board name should use the phrase your audience would search, and the description should define the topic naturally; once a board has enough relevant pins and demand, it can be split into a more specific board.
