When do you remake an old tutorial instead of updating its description?

I have some tutorials up but there are steps that are no longer accurate or updated but it still attracts a lot of viewers. Should I go ahead and record a replacement already or would it be better to just pin new comments or updated description? For anyone who has published a new version, how did you direct viewers from the old video to it? I’m interested to know what you guys' approach is when the original still contains useful information.

When the tutorial is not fit for purpose, description changes will not address the issues. I would always consider remaking a tutorial if the process or interface had changed to a significant degree, and I am not going to stretch out an old description to fit a new process. It is usually better to redo a tutorial and start afresh if there are too many changes to it to update the existing description.
