When do you remake an old tutorial instead of updating its description?

I have some tutorials up but there are steps that are no longer accurate or updated but it still attracts a lot of viewers. Should I go ahead and record a replacement already or would it be better to just pin new comments or updated description? For anyone who has published a new version, how did you direct viewers from the old video to it? I’m interested to know what you guys' approach is when the original still contains useful information.
