How Do You Decide Which Products to Bundle?

Do you build bundles from products customers already buy together, or use them to introduce slower-moving items? I would rather keep the combination useful than add a discount to products that do not naturally fit.

I start with products that share a use case and already appear together in order data. Then I test a small bundle discount and compare margin, return rate, and average order value; I avoid adding a slow seller unless it genuinely improves the set.

I’d probably bundle products that naturally go together. It makes the offer more useful for the customer instead of just putting random items together to make a bigger sale.

Yep, exactly. Bundling products that actually go together makes the offer more useful and gives customers a reason to get both.

This works as well. Bundling products that are usually bought together makes the offer feel more useful, instead of just putting random products into a bundle.

I usually look at what I’d actually need together as a customer. For example, if I’m buying skincare, a cleanser and moisturizer make more sense as a bundle than two products serving the exact same purpose. It feels like a better deal when everything has a clear use.
