Finding what people are searching for on Pinterest is critical for SEO. Do you just use the Pinterest search auto-complete bar, or specialized keyword tools?

I use Pinterest autocomplete as the starting point, then compare those suggestions with Pinterest Trends and the wording used on high-ranking pins. I focus on one primary phrase for the title and add closely related terms naturally in the description. Specialized tools can help with ideas, but Pinterest’s own search data usually gives the clearest picture of user intent.

Pinterest’s own suggestions are the best starting point because they reflect platform-specific language. I would build a simple keyword map: one core phrase, a few close variations, and a handful of supporting terms, then assign each pin to one clear intent. Comparing Trends seasonality before publishing can also prevent a strong keyword from looking weak simply because demand is temporarily low.
