I once came across an online store selling something I wanted, but I hesitated because I’d never bought from them before. The product looked good, so I checked the reviews to see if actual buyers were satisfied, especially with the quality and delivery. How much do customer reviews matter to you when deciding whether to trust an unfamiliar store?

The number of comments doesn’t really matter to me. I usually look for unedited proof-of-purchase clips and unboxing videos from actual buyers to see what the product looks like in real life. If everything checks out and nothing seems suspicious, that’s usually enough for me to consider buying from the store.

I care about customer reviews, but I tend to read them carefully before making any decision. In this case, I would be more influenced by comments and the general impression rather than the stars. I think an authentic feel of what the store offers can be found in the reviews. However, not all of them may seem reliable at first glance. In other words, one should look for a balance when assessing the comments and ratings.

Agree, I find unedited photos and unboxing videos more convincing because they show what buyers actually receive. Some comments are too vague to be useful, and others might be paid or bought just to make the store look more trustworthy, so having actual proof makes a big difference.

I usually look beyond written reviews because some can be generic or automatically generated after a purchase, which makes them less helpful when judging a product. I pay more attention to video reviews where buyers show the actual item and share their experience. Seeing the product in real life gives me a better idea of its quality and helps me make a more informed decision before buying from an unfamiliar store.
