How much information do you give before moving a Facebook enquiry to DM?

When someone asks about pricing or availability in a Facebook comment, how much do you answer publicly before suggesting a private conversation? For a service with variable pricing, would you publish a starting price, explain what affects the quote, or ask for more details first? Have you tried different approaches? I’m interested in which one led to useful enquiries and fewer repeated questions. Hoping to get help on this soon. Thanks!
