Imagine finishing a website only to realize that some of its pages load slowly, the URLs are messy, or the site structure makes it difficult for search engines to understand. Fixing these things afterward could mean going back and changing work that's already been done. That's why SEO shouldn't be something developers think about only when the website is almost finished. It makes more sense to consider it while the site is still being built, alongside the design and functionality.

I feel like SEO should be part of the development process from the start instead of something developers work on separately after the website is almost done. Things like page speed, URLs, and site structure are easier to deal with early on than having to go back and fix them later. The time needed really depends on the website, too. A simple business site won't need the same amount of work as a large e-commerce website.

I'd set aside around two to four weeks for SEO, depending on the size of the website. Two weeks might be enough for a simpler site, but a bigger one would probably need more time to check the structure, page speed, URLs, and other technical issues. It's better to include that time in the development schedule than rush through it and end up fixing problems after launch.

I think it depends on what needs to be fixed and how complex the website is. Experienced developers can usually set aside around one to two weeks for SEO-related tasks, but the timeline can still vary depending on the site's condition and requirements. Some websites only need minor adjustments, while others may need more time to fix technical issues and improve the overall structure.

I feel like it could take less time than that, especially if you're just checking the website to identify what's wrong. You're hiring a professional, after all, so they should already know what to look for and how to diagnose common SEO issues. Unless the website has major technical problems that need fixing, I don't think a basic SEO assessment should take one to two weeks.
