Should businesses give loyal customers special treatment?

Some customers have been supporting a business for years. They keep coming back, make regular purchases, and even recommend the store to other people. Would it make sense to give them extra perks like exclusive discounts, early access to new products, or special offers? Or should businesses keep their promotions open to everyone, regardless of how long they have been customers?

I would rather keep the same offers available to everyone because giving certain customers special treatment could create an unhealthy environment. Other customers might start feeling less valued, especially those who are still new to the business. Loyalty should definitely be appreciated, but I do not think it should make one group of customers feel more important than the rest.

Businesses should treat all their customers fairly instead of giving certain people too many advantages just because they have been around longer. Loyalty should be appreciated, but it should not create a gap between regular customers and those who are just starting to support the business. Everyone deserves to feel valued, whether it is their first purchase or their hundredth.

I am not a fan of businesses giving special treatment just because someone is close to the owner or one of the employees. There is a difference between a proper loyalty program, like getting a free meal after your tenth purchase, and giving someone extra privileges simply because they know the right people. Businesses should know how to separate personal relationships from professional decisions. How can they expect other customers to respect the business when they can clearly see that people close to them are being favored?

It can also create an uncomfortable environment for the employees who have to deal with those situations. They might feel pressured to prioritize certain people even when there are other customers waiting or following the proper process. Everyone should be able to do their job fairly without having to worry about who knows the owner.
