Which would worry you more: a high CPC or a low conversion rate?

Imagine you're running two ad campaigns. One gets expensive clicks, but most of the people who visit end up buying. The other brings in cheaper clicks, but hardly anyone makes a purchase. Which one would concern you more? Would you try to lower the cost per click, figure out why visitors aren't converting, or compare which campaign actually brings in more profit? I'm curious how you'd decide where to focus your efforts.

A high CPC would concern me more because you're spending more money just to get people to click on your ads. Even if some of them end up buying, I'd still want to find ways to lower the cost without hurting the campaign's performance. That way, the budget can go further and hopefully bring in more sales.

A low conversion rate would surprise me more, especially if the campaign is already getting a decent number of clicks. It means people are interested enough to visit the website, but something is stopping them from taking the next step. I'd want to figure out what's turning them away before spending more money on the campaign.

Both can be concerning depending on how the campaigns are performing, but if I had to choose one, I'd be more worried about a low conversion rate. Getting cheap clicks doesn't mean much if those visitors aren't buying anything. At the same time, a high CPC can still be worth it if the campaign brings in enough sales to cover the cost. I'd look at the overall results before deciding which problem needs more attention.
