Would You Rather Have a Viral Product or a Repeat-Buyer Product?

Imagine your product suddenly blows up on social media and orders start coming in nonstop. At the same time, you could have a smaller group of customers who keep coming back every few weeks. If you had to build your business around one of those, which would you pick?

Having customers who genuinely trust your brand can make it easier to grow through word of mouth and build a business that lasts.

Repeat buyers are a better foundation for a business. Viral attention can bring a lot of sales at once, but you never know how long it'll last. Having people who keep coming back shows that your product is worth paying for, and that kind of consistency is valuable in the long run.

I like this approach. It's easy to get caught up in quick results, but having something that works well in the long run matters more to me.

A viral product has the potential to put a brand on the map and attract customers who might never have discovered it otherwise. That kind of exposure can open doors to new opportunities and partnerships, especially when the business is ready to handle the sudden demand.

I’d go for a viral product too, especially for something people don’t buy regularly. Repeat purchases are great, but customers might take months before they need the same product again. A viral product can create a strong sales window while the interest is still high, so I’d rather take advantage of that opportunity.
