I came across two ads for similar products recently. One was a really polished video with nice editing, while the other was just a regular person showing how they use the product. Which one would make you more interested in checking the product out?

A real person feels much more genuine and legitimate, especially when you can actually see them using the product. It feels less scripted, and it’s easier to get an idea of how the product really works in everyday use.

Even when I’m about to check out, I also check if the store has an actual physical location I can visit, especially when it’s somewhere nearby. It gives me a bit more confidence that the business is legitimate.

I would rather see a real person in most cases. Although polished advertising is often effective, honest opinions and testimonials are frequently much more compelling than a professionally staged ad.

For me, authenticity gets the initial attention, while good production helps build confidence once I’m interested. A genuine person demonstrating the product can feel much more trustworthy than an ad that looks like it was designed purely to sell.

Yeah, there’s something about seeing how a product fits into someone’s actual experience that makes the message feel more believable.

Both can work well, especially if the business has already built a strong presence and knows what kind of content its audience responds to. At that point, it’s more about execution than choosing one style over the other.

Exactly, seeing how a product uses into someone's everyday life makes it easier to imagine using it yourself. It also helps set realistic expectations, which can prevent disappointment after the purchase and make people more confident in their decision.
