This question came to mind while I was doing some inventory work yesterday. I’d love to hear what you guys think about it.
That’s a good point. If you understand why people would actually want or need the product, it becomes a lot easier to figure out what kind of message will catch their attention.I think the first thing to consider is whether the product actually solves a problem or gives people a reason to want it. Then understand that, it’s much easier to figure out how to promote it.
I like this idea. Getting a few opinions first and making sure the product is properly tested makes promoting it feel a lot more reliable.I usually like to do a quick test first, like asking a few people what they think about the product. But ideally, the product should already have gone through proper testing before it’s something I’d consider promoting.
Agreed, the product should have some real value before putting effort into promoting it. It’s much easier to market something when you actually believe it can help people. Before promoting any product, I want to know that it actually serves a purpose. Marketing can only do so much; it cannot create demand for something that people will not really need or want. If I would not recommend something to my personal network, I will refrain from promoting it
I’d also look at how the product is positioned compared to similar ones. Sometimes the way you present the same product can make a big difference in how people respond to it.The target audience would be the first thing I’d consider. You need to know who you’re trying to reach before figuring out how to promote the product to them.
